We Stamp For Cash

I have been doing many (when I say many, I have had 5 in 2 days.) Full Spectrum Country Wide signings-- Why is it that only one of the companies that hired me are requiring fax backs. I think, it would be the same across the board and there would be no need for that anymore since it isn't required by CountryWide anymore. Is this a Title company decision? Just curious.

I have done many with Countrywide also and I started out by charging them for each fax back, now I just fax back the HUD, borrowers ID and my invoice. I know they want you fax back ALL notarized doc's! to me that will just open the door for a mixed up packet!. I am not advising you to do this, you certainly don't want to lose your client, but...if your work has been up to par they shouldn't need to see it prior to sending back. Who is the company that is requesting the fax backs..Title or Signing company?

Pain in the neck huh?

Unfortunately, each title and escrow company makes their own rules and sets their own policies and procedures......as do we for our signing businesses. I suppose you could charge more for that procedure but don't be surprised if they go elsewhere for their signings. There are alot of hungry NSA's out here who will scoop up your work..........

Once in a while, I will get a title co. that wants docs faxed back to them, especially if they haven't used me before. Ususally after that they send me a confirmation sheet about the signing but tell me to ignore the fax back part, so it may be part of their procedure to insure the most importnt docs are filled out correctly until they know a notarys work...just a thought..

I also do closings for a signing service and all of the Coutnry wide Full Spectrum Loans require faxback, when I do regular countrywide loans for the same company I am not required to faxback documents

I try to get them to OK my scanning the docs to a PDF file and emailing it to them rather than faxing them. Less work for me, and they get cleaner copies. No one I've asked so far has said no and insisted on faxed copies.

Just ask them in a light-hearted, half-joking way, "What people, you don't trust me?" See what they say. It's probably a policy their management has implemented for quality control.

I would not ask this. Joking or not, it's not professional. Maintain a professional image at all times. You risk a hang-up and forever dead.

I work with a couple of SS who require fax-back, and I don't mind working with them - I just increase my fee by $20-$25 for the time invested in the fax-back. If they "balk" at the fee increase, "just say no".

I have run into the same thing. It is just the signing company checking on you before they let you send in the docs. I tell them I charge $25 for fax back this cures them of that desire in a hurry.

It's one of my pet peeves. Especially when I get back from my signings late and then have to send everything through my balky fax machine. One SS who has hired me a lot requires it and it's not an 800 fax, so it's on my dime. Hate it!

Hi Michele,

I work for Countrywide Home Loans, Full Spectrum Lending division. It sounds like a Title Co requirement for the fax backs, because the Title Co we use in my office doesn't request this.

However when we contract the signing through our signing service, the signing service does require fax backs. That's because she likes to review the documents before they are shipped out to Countrywide in Texas.

I have worked for CW for a bit now and sometimes with the Full spectrum loans they want the docs so they can work on the loan before they get the docs by fedex.
I understand that and have no problems faxing them the docs if they want to pay for my fax.
I have found it to be a TC decision.
