We Stamp For Cash

I normally don't post anything negative about companies, but I want you all to be cautious when accepting signings from Greenbelt Real Estate based out of New York.
I love working with them, but they just cannot seem to pay in a timely manner. Payments are always 45 days or more and on top of that, you have to make sure you keep on top of it to get it in 45 days.
After this last closing, which she sent the payment 2 weeks later than she has promised, I decided I will not accept signings for them anymore.
I am seeing pattern and see it happening to others as well.
It is just not necessary to put us through so much just to be paid and with no apologies. In fact, she said it was not late and that they do not "pay on demand". Still not sure what that means, but I am concerned about their strength as a company and also do not like to have to work so hard to get paid on time.
Just be careful and expect payment to be slow if you do do a signing for them. They do pay, just very slowly, and in this market, I am just not willing to take those risks anymore.

I have done a few signings for Deb at Greenbelt over the past couple years and I will no longer accept signings from them. They are constantly late and I always have to call and email without the courtesy of a reply. I eventually got paid on the last signing I did for GRES but it was only after I sent them a letter. It's ridiculous. I don't have time to be chasing payments.

Wow, almost a year to the date that I posted this. So sad that she is still operating. Did this happen recently? I just am always amazed and how long some people will hang on and pay like this. A year later..wow. :-(
Well, so far I have not been stiffed by anyone in about 11,000 signings. I am just very careful now and am constantly researching any new companies that call me.
I have my regulars and I stick with them and they treat me well.
Nothing is a guarantee but when the red flags go up....pay attention to them! The $100 or so is not worth it for the stress you will get by working with companies that don't pay.

Hi Christine - Yes, this was about about a month ago. They probably keep getting notaries (especially new ones or ones who need the work) and will take the assignments. You're absolutely right... the $100 is not worth the stress. I have my ususal SS I work with but lately, I was very fortunate to start working with a direct lender and now making twice as much and I don't have to deal with printing e-docs. If NSAs can get their foot in the door and work with lenders, it is sooooo worth it. I have doubled my income in the last few months. I am hoping it keeps up and this will be a good year!
