Apparently FiServ eLending Services is getting ready to push e-signings. You might want to prep on becomming an authorized user. Only recordables need to be printed (no more than 40 pgs), instead of printing the whole pkg. If the signing goes more...

Dear Dinah,
I got a message that you emailed but I did not find your message. sorry. I am new to this sort of thing. I have always used the internet for information not intertainment.
Now with a new career I need to make contacts with others in this field. I have lots to learn and these sites are a great place to meet other notaries and get important information.
So, try again and I will try not to lose it.
Regards, Gwen Lee

Hi there. I received your email.
I just called the Irvine Police Dept and asked for the fraud division. I called the police in the area where the company is located.
That case is now with the criminal DA's office. It is a serious case and I have heard she has gone out of business now so to prevent her from doing the same thing again the criminal DA's office will hopefully prevent that from happening.
Just call the police department in the city where the company is. I knew in my case that there where a lot of people involved so the police detective really helped a lot.
Good luck!

Hi Dinah, I am a fan of small claims, or at least the threat. i think to many notaries beg and plead for the money..you need to get tough. I recently collected from small claims , but it was for another business. I have threatened to take signing services to court (but never had to--but I am prepared to) First off, you must send or email a very stern demand letter. Let the person know that this is a demand letter and if you are not paid by a certain date, you will be filing in small claims court the next day. Warn them that they need to retain a copy of your letter because they will need it in court. Now you need to find out the laws in your state. I love the book "Everyone's guide to small claims court" published by Nolo/ I bet you can find it used on Ebay. Every state is different! I like to add a $50.00 "late fee" ( In California you can not add court costs in advance) but my "late fee" covers those court costs. Put in your demand letter about your late fee. Then I start out by serving them the cheapest way possible (If your state allows-do it by certified mail). If the certified mail does not work, hire a process server, I have threatened 3 SS with small claims. Two could not get a check to me fast enough. One called my bluff-but did end up paying me. Be prepared to go to court. (you probably won't have to) BUT if you do-have as much documentation as you can get your hands on. The court loves paper to back up your claim. Good Luck-get those suckers!! i am chasing 3 companies myself right now and it is BS>
