My first signing would have gone great if it could have been completed - LOL!! the borrower saw that extra money was tacked onto her loan amount and I sat for 45mins while she argued with her loan officer :-) Then eventually she said no deal and sent me home. Isnt that great.
Sounds like you are a busy lady outside of being a mom and notary. I understand what it is like to work within a church. I was on a church staff almost 10 years before we started our present church. I am also a licensed minister currently working on my ordination. I love doing the signings because I have alot of flexability and meet so many nice people.
It's always great to know that there are other Christians in your field!
Wow, I can't believe the guy with the shoe story! That's funny! I'm sure it was totally awkward at the moment it happened. Luckily, I haven't been blessed with good looks so that never happens to me. I feel pretty safe with that regard.
I am a pt signing agent/full time ministry administrative assistant. Mom of 4 and sometimes I wish I had more closings, sometimes I'm busier than I really want to be.....

Best/Craziest Notary Story
My 2nd closing EVER..
I had just started doing signings and was assigned a closing where the borrower was an in-home caretaker for a very elderly woman. The woman she cared for was a really heavy smoker (white walls were yellow), incontinent and the house reeked. She had a very aged poodle named Precious, who also reeked, like old dogs do. The old lady insisted on meeting me, since I was in here home. She squinted at me thru her nicotine haze and asked numerous questions. During the actual closing, she was in bed and every 15 minutes or so, she called the borrower back for one thing or another. The borrower was a r-e-a-d-e-r and I was green as grass and didn't have what it takes to hurry her along. Every time she left the room, Precious attempted to do things to my leg that I would rather dogs (or anyone/thing!) NOT do!. The closing took about 2 1/2 hours, I forgot to get a signature and had to drive back 25 miles the next day, and then I found out that the RTC was exercised before I got her signature and overnighted the package back. I almost quit. $75 just isn't enough for this kind of thing! ANYONE who does this should ask to go to a couple of closings with an experienced agent to get the hand of things.....

I had to chuckle to myself after reading you "Craziest Notary Story". YUCK!! I do not want to even imagine that smell!
Love your pic! I saw this when I was looking for a pic as well and almost used it.
Hope EOM was profitable for you!
