- Best/Craziest Notary Story
- My first signing (8/28/07) I was a nervous wreck. I received the edocs the night before and emailed everyone I could to ask questions so that I wouldn't mess up (thank you Cara and Erika). I looked over the docs at least a dozen times and after a dozen questions later, I was confident and ready (sorry Cara - LOL) Well that is until I hit traffic on the way to the signing. Panic again set in. I work clear across town and had 30mins to get there. I just knew for sure I wasn't going to make it. I made it with 2 mins to spare. :-) The borrowers were husband and wife and were friendly enough but when the wife saw that there was $4000 tacked on to the loan amount boy o boy!! I sat for 45mins listening to her argue with not one but two loan officers as they tried to explain to her why she had to pay the extra money. She was not a happy camper. Eventually she told them no deal and sent me on my merry little way. Luckily the borrower's house is literally 5 mins from mine so I was happy about that. I am more than ready for the next adventure. :-)

First Signing and boy Am I nervous :-)
I have my first signing tomorrow evening and I am nervous. I looked at the docs and they seem easy enough but what if I mess something up? Is this feeling normal or am I over re-acting?

Yesterday Would Have Been My First Signing
I saw my phone ringing and it was a Cali number I didn't know. Now generally I do not return calls I don't recognize esp. if no message is left but then I thought to myself, self :-) , it could be something important. I called back and it was some sort of notary company (couldn't understand the name. The guy was talking entirely too fast. That's annoying) Boy was I excited.
