I went into the home and discovered the wife had not been informed the husband was getting a loan on their vacation home. He told me she was German and had the German temper but he would handle her. She ranted and raved for about 15 minutes then she left, he told me to let him sign that she would sign when she got back because by then she would be "cooled off". She came back in about 10 minutes and ranted some more. He remained very calm at all times. Finally he very calmly said "honey sit down right here and look at me", she sat down with her head down. He said "no, look me in the eye" and she did. THEN, he said "now you have two choices here, sign these papers so the nice lady can go home to her family, or go upstairs, pack your bags and call your divorce lawyer". We didn't sign. I left and told him the papers would be good until midnight and that I only lived 5 miles away so if they worked it out give me a call. I left feeling lucky to be all in one piece.
Hi Debi,
I had created a discussion the other on extra notary income and you responded. But the discussion was pulled by the administrator before I could respond. Sorry! Could you let me know you response when you get a chance?
