I have been a certified notary signing agent since Oct. 05.. I have over 400 closing under my belt... I cover the Greater Orlando, Florida area.. and I love my work... it is wonderful!!
Hi, I just joined and am very excited about this site... Free... I am so tired of the constant emails to notary's to join any thing and every thing, at a fee.. What a breath of fresh air this site is... I hope everyone has a wonderful and prosperous day...
Hi Ginger
It nice as you say to be able to join for free.I would like to also invite you to Merchant Circle.Which is a local network where you post your business for free in your town.
If you would like to join send me your email and I will send you an invite and it will come from northportnotaryservices@gmail.com
With business being as as slow as it is every bit of free advertising is great
There is only one way to force the lenders, tc, signing co..... get the word out.... UNITE NOTARYS AND TAKE NOTHING LESS THAN $100.00 PER CLOSING... This forum is great... to get the word out as much as we can...
Your very welcome and thank you for the warm welcome to FL. I have contacts from NY that call whenever they have something in FL so I like to have names to refer them to when it's out of my coverage area. I'm sure we'll get something together. Please do the same if you have anything in Hernando, Citrus, or Pasco area.
Good luck on work next month, let's hope it picks up!

I wish I could get EVERY notary to Unite and not take a closing for less than 100. I know it is an impossible task but I feel that when it gets slow for the lenders then we notarys get the short end of the stick... If we would all Unite and NOT except a closing for less than 100 .. we would force the lenders to pay attention... we are the last and most important part of the loan. The less that is paid the notary the less quality that is given... I feel the borrowers deserve more...
I have just had to reclose a loan that a notary... stamped EVERY page of the documents and forced the borrower to read every page... the borrower was sooo upset.. The result was a
1 hour closing took 3 hours... Sad but true... Then I had to go back and reclose.. If I had been contracted in the first place it would never happened and the borrower would never had to go thur that... But I was not the less expensive... of course the first notary will not be paid... I was told.. and I am getting of 100.00.. and alot of heart ach to the borrower.. SO NOTARYS UNITE.. TAKE NO FEE LESS THAN $100.00
The problem is... there is always someone that will accept less... We have to UNITE ... everyone... There are those out there that get nothing less than 150.00 for a closing and stay busy all day... well... that is not the reality of most signing agents.. we are being nickel and dimes to death... i for one am sick of it... I will not accept less than 100.00 and .. 75 w/o docs... I am standing by my guns... and refuse anything less... get the standard call.... well, let me check and see if I can get approval.. I will call back... I know they are calling another less experienced notary and she will take any work.... UNITE .... UNITE... UNITE..... FORCE THEM.. TO PAY WHAT WE ARE WORTH.....LET NO SIGNING AGENT TAKE LESS THAN $100.00 WITH DOCS....
Hi Ginger,
I am in complete agreement with you. They want to charge the same for overnight docs and email docs which is always under $100 no matter what. Email docs are a big expense in time and money. I charge at least $25 more for Email and more for 2 sets of docs.
