- I am a mother of 3 and stepmom of 1. Grandmother of 4 and stepgrandmother of 7. I worked in the medical field for 28 years and left to find another challenge. I have taken a real estate course for investment purpose only. I new the loan process with our own personal investments, so the notary process was just the final thing to do.

- Best/Craziest Notary Story
- I went to a loan signing last year and this little elderly lady was complaining about all the paper and signing and intialing that she had to do. I aplologized to her and stated that some of the documents in the package were there to protect her by identifying her and giving her privacy. She said hogwash and proceeded to pick up the phone and call her LO and complain. He told her that California laws actually lessoned the paper work in the loan packet. She called him a liar and told him that she was not stupid and was well informed with the laws of the state and that she has done the loan process several times with alot less pages and that he really needed to talk to his boss and make the paper work less for us old people. I chuckled a little at this spry little lady as she went on telling him how she has been a dance teacher and performer of the arts for over 50 years and still was.
It's been a year since that signing and I still do loans for this company.The loan packet has gotten alot smaller with less requirements, maybe she had something to do with it.

LOCAL NOTARIES
Are there any notaries in the Paradise/Chico/Oroville area that would like to get together and network for work. I turn down some signings occasionally and am always asked if I know another local notary that can do the job. I'm you other notaries have the same problem.
