Best/Craziest Notary Story

I was signing with a retired lawyer (woman) and her poor whipped husband. She thought she knew more than the lender and brought her black Sharpie to the closing. She proceeded to cross out phrases, "X" through parts of the lender package. When I told her that her lender wouldn't allow that, she told me she was smarter than any lender. It took 4 hours to sign with her on Friday evening. I warned her that the lender would not accept the package, and when I sent it back to the lender, they called me and told me exactly that. They had to send documents again, and I had to sign at another time for about 2 more hours. It was not fun!
