About Me:
I am the owner/operator of Self-Help Paralegal & Notary Signing Services. I have been a paralegal since 1990; and added the notary service in 2000. I have an office in Running Springs, CA; and I recently re-located to Edmond, Ok. I have about 30 notaries that work with me and we cover 7 different states at this time. I am currently looking for more notaries in other areas. I need some in Los Angeles and San Diego County and in Texas. Anyone out there? You can view those areas on my web site. We hold workshops twice a year, so that we may keep up with new rules, laws, regulations, etc. We find it most helpful with the newer notaries, so that we can share some of our experiences with them. We pride ourselves "in doing what it takes to get the job done".

Best/Craziest Notary Story
It was a cloudy day out, really dark and ready to pour any minute, as I got out of my car to ring the door bell, it started to thunder and ligthen, louder then I could ever imagine; and pour rain. I went to the door and rang the door bell, the bo wasn't home, husband was, he met me at the door, said he had no idea when she would be home, cause she does whatever she wants and he never knows...that she just does her own thing.... He asked if I wanted her cell number, he had me sit on the porch while he went to his car to retrieve her number. About that time, the front door creeked open really slow and shut really slow. It did it again, then appeared a lady old lady; and she wispered, "Are you looking for Julie?" and I said, "Yes", she said, "She's been gone a really long time, and I am scared too death", and the door slowly closed, making that creeking sound again. I grabbed up my briefcase and decided to get out now. The husband came back around the corner and I was leaving, he said, "I thought you wanted her number". As I was getting in my car, I rolled the window down (just a bit) and got the card from him. I got on the phone with the company and told them to hold on so they could listen. He then wanted my card, so I slipped it thru the window and left. Creepy all the way!!! I got out of there as fast as I could. I finally reached the bo who agreed to meet me anywhere I wanted the next day. So we agreed. She then called her lender and said she didn't want just anybody, she wanted the lender to meet her and to notarize the stuff herself. I was so glad I was done.

Hello Rita,

Nice to see ya here! :) You should put in a blurb for a great notary loan signer in LA county, CA. There are many people here to choose from to grow your business and coverage. I have requested to add you as my friend, which seems kinda funny considering we already are! :) Take care, Jenifer

Hi Rita,
Welcome to Mobile Notary Network!

Yes, I'm frustrated with signing companies/etc. that want to lower our fees, especially since the price of gas is up.

I too have joined My Power Mall to help supplement my income and I just LOVE it. Go to: http://www.mypowermall.com/biz/home/6034 for ALL the details.

Best wishes to you.

Pat

Hello Rita. I wish you luck up there in your neck of the woods!! Business has slowed A LOT in the last 3 or 4 months and I am scared that the business is not going to pick up anytime soon. I am always looking for additional services to offer, to help supplement the slow times (like now!!LOL). Anyway, one of the great opportunities out there is MY Power Mall. Click on the link on my comment page and check it out. It is free to look and to get your own power mall. I have been buying all kinds of notary supplies and household things online and although the prices aren't always significantly reduced, there usually is no shipping!! And I get a rebate!! It's great and there are over 1000 companies to shop from!! Anyway, enough rambling for now. This is just one more way for notaries (or anybody else) to make money while things stay slow. Check it out and let me know what you think. Good luck!!
