- It is so terrible that they just go and change their name and continue doing business! When I first heard this I was astounded! So blatant! I will definately never work for that company. You might want to post this information on the site in the CTC Notary thread we had going to keep people informed.

Meri said… - Yes, actually I just got off the phone with a title company regarding one of the signings that I did for ctc. They confirmed that CTC did change their name to Golden Bear and she has corresponded with them when they first changed names. Also I have the name of the owner, it is Bill Williamson. This title company stated that they have received many complaints recently. Countrywide no longer uses them. I am going to contact the better BBB in Sacramento. I am sure others have. I am also going to check to see if it is a felony not to pay a notary. We are public servants.

- Hi there. I was able to get a new name and number that CTC changed to. The person who gave it to me is from Countrywide. Because I perform signings for them directly as well, I thought it was a good source.
I tried the number several times last week and left messages. No return call was received. Then, this morning I thought I would try again and a receptionist answered. She said I was the 3rd call today and that she just started. She indicated it was a new company and had nothing to do with CTC from what the owner told her. I think this is untrue. I am contacting the NNA to report this as soon as I feel I have strong enough evidence this is the same business under a different name. If you have the name of the owner of CTC that would be so helpful. Thanks so much for taking the time to care about this....
